St. Patrick's Day Costume!

Since St. Patrick's Day was coming up, I decided to order one of the St. Patrick's Day costumes from Costume Discounters to show my appreciation for the "let's get drunk and act Irish day." Well not necessarily act, since I AM Irish... but you know damn well that everyone who celebrates this day, wants to be Irish so they have an excuse to act like a belligerent drunk. I'm completely fine with that, since it means they want to be just like me. ;)

Anyways, I went with the Womens Plus Gretchen Barvarian Maiden costume, because it was cute, green and I could wear this on Thursday to be my boyfriends little Irish wench for the day -- while I serve him beer. I was thinking about wearing this out in public during the Holiday weekend, since there's an Irish bar downtown that shuts down the block and celebrates the whole time, but I'm sure that would seem a little weird and I'd get the "WTF are you wearing stares from jealous bitches". But, maybe not... who knows right?

The costume was a delight to try on. The quality is decent and should withhold your standard washing, since it seems to feel like the material of 300 count sheets. I happened to take the reviewers post into consideration on the website, since I was the same size as her and I'm glad I did because it fit perfectly with the bigger size. I'm sure the regular size would have been fine, but sometimes they don't make them correct for the sizes that they have specified on the websites. Thankfully they have an outstanding return policy in case that happens.

The dress/costume is peasant style. which features a green skirt below with gold and flower trim, an apron with pink trim and a brown, pink laced, corset style mid section. There are 2 strings that are on the sides of the costume that apparently you pull over your shoulders and tie like a halter top, but I'm not exactly sure if that's how it's supposed to go. I'm sticking with that theory, since it shows the straps over the shoulders in the photo online.

It's really cute and comfortable and I can't wait til Thursday!

Not only does Costume Discounters carry items and costumes for St. Patrick's Day, but they also have plenty more adult costumes to suit your fancy!
